My mother would make these cookies every Christmas. I always LOVED eating the dough before she baked them. Keep them tightly stored, as they go stale pretty quickly. Moms' Chocolate Macaroons1/2 cup salad oil 4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate -- melted 2 Cups sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 cups flour 4 eggs 2 teaspoons Baking powder COMBINE: 1/2 cup salad oil 4 squares melted unsweetened chocolate 2 cups sugar ADD: 2 tsp. Vanilla 2 cups flour sifted with 2 tsp. Baking powder Chill the dough. Using a table spoon, scoop dough and roll balls with your ands and drop into confectioner's sugar. Bake on greased sheet for 12 – 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Description: "A Great Christmas Cookie"
